The first of the third batch of community tracks. Also the first of the new shorter racing brand aimed more for multiplayer use as well as wr`s. An interesting sprint which should keep you all on your toes. Congrats to the team.

The shortcut was walled off by HP. I thought about it too, but then when I accidentally sent the wrong version of the track to the team for validation, I didn't really miss it. It's a challeging little cut and should only further encourage competition.

On the 3rd section it is possible to fly off the track and land on a peice of track going the other way. There's red turbos on it, so you can actually catch enough speed to make the next section.

I feel honoured Dork, I really do
Awesome long and specially constructive comment.
I think I speak for all of us
About the saturation and contrast part; My cpu doens't work properly on pc3 mode so I can;t add those parts cause I simply don't see what the result is Which also means I haven't got the faintest Idea how it works anyway But I do agree with you that it would have upped the replay though. Absolutly commnent. (as always btw)
ps coast-track 3.3 is gonna be a blast !!!

WOW
The intro alone is just dazzling!
The outro is fantastic to watch!
And the ride is increadible!!! Some really great, challenging elements.
And the scenery... well - really, really nice!
A lot of effort was put into this track and I'm amazed that you pulled it off so fast.
Just EXCELLENT

Nice track fella's.

I question your decision to leave a known cut in the track and then using it for the valedation route, but you wouldn't be the first to do it. I usually don't like to point out shortcomings in a track but the whole race is basically centered around how fast you can flip a be-otch and line up the three turbo's You're lucky I like such challenges but at the same time it kind of negates the rest of the track.

Good one
Nice ideas, good flow, nice jumps, speed, speed, more speed, even more speed...
goes there!
Hmmm... There is another!

Problems I found:
1) intro (long and laggy), made me waiting
2) lagging (on solo)

But anyway... I can recommend this track for everyone

Let's see if Helt finds this... How long might HIS text be

First things first, I'm really digging EtherForce's intro. Very crazy and very nice as well! In fact, I'm kind of struggling to express how awesome the intro is. I guess all I can say is... ooohh, pretty.

Next up, the actual track, and we start with YTMB:Alselius' section. This part I'm not so crazy about. Not because it's inherintly bad, but because of the FEPs (First Encounter Problems) which crop up in it. First off, there should be a 'Road Narrows' sign before the jump to the tunnel (one is included on the TMX signpack). Second, there should be a sign warning drivers away from the right-hand side of the road on the following jump. The banked piece above the road is pretty, but it is a pretty obstacle as well. Third, the left turn is, in my opinion, just too sharp after such a fast start. This is the one part of Alselius' section which could not be solved with signs, and I think a re-design of the turn would have been in order. All in all, not a bad job, but not the best. :/

EtherForce's section is short and sweet, but nothing terribly special. I like the upward transfer/corkscrew/whatever the heck it is stunt, and the turn is OK, but in my opinion the section just doesn't really stand out very much.

Thence to Plus9bB996's part! This also has some FEP's, but is somehow compelling. The red boosters are strategically placed so that a minimum of acceleration will get a maximum of speed. Strange, and yet somehow interesting and good. The transfer to Discomb's section is good, even with the use of two (!!) reversed red boosters! They are well placed, however.

I like Discomb's smooth jumps, although to be honest he could have done better in my opinion. His usual creative insanity seems to be a bit lacking, but the section is still harmless and fun.

On to DaKKoN's section, which ups the construction to a very grand scale indeed. However, there are still some FEPs here which could have been resolved by wise sign placement. :/ However, the jumps are very fun to take and have a lot of variance in how you take them.

And now we come to the outro, which I really, really like. If you had just added some increased saturation and contrast, DaKKoN, it would have been perfect. However, I'm perfectly willing to praise the outro and say without reservation that anyone looking for ideas on how to make an outro should watch this one.

Well, most of my feedback up until this point has been mainly negative. I feel, though, that I haven't quite communicated how good the track is. All of the parts work very smoothly together and everything coheres into a lovely TMX Community pie (or perhaps pastry ) which keeps me hanging and searching for the best line. I'll have to try that shortcut, but the track is a lovely creation. Good job guys.

So... a big award from little old me. Good job, all, and I hope to see more good community tracks from this wonderful site.
