Paradisio

Fast track set on a paradise island.

With smooth jumps as always and a bit of re-use.
But most important: just a beautiful ride!

Intro and outro.

wow! finally a new track!

Hm... Dork I have the feeling if you would have spent as much time in driving the track as you probably did writing your award comment you would have had no problem coming through the track anymore. A track imo doesnt need to be easy on the first attemt and "blind" courves can be a very nice challenge. The track is not hard at all after a few tries. I cannot agree to any of your mentioned flaws.
Very good track. It's just a question of taste if you enjoy this kind of racing or not.

Thanks a lot for your awards I really enjoy reading them all. A bit difference in opinions here, and I kind of expected that, but good to see so many likes it so much.

@Dork: Thanks for that lengthy and detailed award comment. I would like to say it would help in my comming tracks, but it probably won't. I still enjoy reading it though. The intro and outro does not have the "wow"-factor simply because I can't be bothered to use lots of time on them. I'm also aware of the flaws in the track. The re-use concrete turn is trickier than I wanted due to not enough space. I could have done something completely different, but again, I couldn't be bothered to use the required time. I'll remember the "marking" of road parts though. That I didn't already know was a problem.
So in conclusion: All you pointers are spot on and I'm already aware of them, but I play TM so little that if I am to release any tracks, the polishing and MT will probably suffer a bit. But again, thanks for your your detailed review
Thanks SkunkY for "sticking up for me" and I agree that the track is easy after just a few runs, though I also know where Dork's opinions come from. Together you two share my views of the track

Well, I did play the track a few times, but I never said that it was exactly hard. One of the flaws I would have metioned but dropped was actually that this track is too easy, not taking enough chances like.. oh, never mind, I've mentioned that track about ten times already. But, even after racing through it, the on-road turns still come up a bit fast and bop my car in the face. This is more a problem with my keyboard and insanely bad driving skills, but I do prefer tube tunnels and banked turns.

As for Ron's comment, he can take or leave my advice -- I enjoy giving it anyway. I would agree with werner and Fallout (or whatever he wants to call himself... ) that it's not quite as good as a "master" tracker is capable of. :/ But I did like it.

I did/do appreciate your input, and it will be in the back of my mind, but since I only spend a couple of hours a week playing TM, I doubt there will be any mega-wow tracks from me anymore. I still enjoy making tracks though, just not working 50 hours on each track So this is about the quality I'll produce I guess, and I'm aware I won't get as many awards as I used to, but for me all that matters is that I have fun creating tracks

(whispering) After all, some people here have no time to spend hours on tracks. after all, there'll always be people who don't like the work/track you did.

That's life.

After all, even some people think this might not be ron's best track: who cares? does there always to be mega-wow-effects with super-stylish-intro/mt/replay? I think, it's the track that really counts. (and it is good) And maybe someday it's the other way and you'll award an track just because it has nice mt-effects and intro, but the track itself is purely shit... aehrm... well... I guess people can talk for themselves now... didn't want to disturb, sorry... (shuts up)

Yep, if everybody is expecting a masterpiece after another, every track has to be at least as good and stunning as the last one then this community will die very soon. its just not possible and can discourage a track builder. in the end he wont release any tracks anymore because he is affraid of comments like.. "oh well, nice track but I expected more from you.." sometimes you just want to release a track because its a fun track even though its not a "Woow! What a track!".. and in the end even though a track by a certain author is not his best its still one of the best new tracks around and fun to drive. thats what counts. don't you think so..

Couldn't agree more SkunkY (and Gerthulf as well). I feel 100% the same.
But it's always healthy with a good discussion.
View User ProfileSend Private Message Nobster 30-Jun-2006
My two cents? Drive tracks, don't waste time discussing 'm.
View User ProfileSend Private Message Ron Turbo 30-Jun-2006
lol Nobster. 2 good cents there , though personally I'd rather spend it making tracks instead of driving tracks.

As far as I can see, it's not faster to restart from the last CP so I won't update the track afterall. So it's safe to upload times if anyone has any

Lol, Dan. I was starting to wonder if anyone would notice those text-parts

WOW Another Great track from you Ron!
So much flow and speed, nice and easy too!
Great smooth jumps and drops, and cool, but simple, MT!
And cool little 'nothing to see in here' message in the secret tunnel!
Cool message in the 'slow tunnel', yes I should learn to follow the signs!

Awesome!

Yea, it's OK track, but nothing we haven't seen before from Ron.

And I found those texts too. What signs? They are only red!

But anyway, this track is fast, smooth and allthought nice, but it lacks something.
Worth of award anyway.
