Hello everyone!

I have been browsing through TMX again for the past few weeks, and once I read about this month's United MTC, I decided to build a new track again.
The theme was to "build a track in honor of the 10th Anniversary of TMU", and doing so without using any blocks from the Forever update. Now since I was obviously going to build an island track, the latter rule was no restriction at all as there are no "Forever" blocks in island. So, I decided to challenge myself a bit further and took my old notebook, which still has TrackMania Sunrise installed on it, in order to build the track there...
So, I guess this is rather a track in honor of TMS, which began to die with the start of TMU 10 years ago... But let's hope I'll still get some points in the theme category.

The track is an oldschool-ish island fullspeeder (well, for a TMS track it's quite modern I guess...) with some smooth jumps, wallrides and even a small offroad section. (I don't think I have built that sort of thing before...)
It should be quite easy to finish and perfectly driveable for both kb users and pad / joystick / wheel / whatever drivers. But you'll ofc have an advantage with an analog steering device. In any case, it should always be possible to drive this with fullspeed all the time. (Unless some crazy island driver tries nosliding the road turns - but I don't think you gain time by doing that.)

Sorry for not adding cam changes in the wallrides - I initially wanted to add them, but then found that they would not work in TMU. And I wanted to use the exact same track file in both TMS and TMU, so that online records and such are compatible. (Not that anyone will ever play this on a dedicated server in TMS, but this way, it's at least theoretically possible. ) Also, the black screen in the intro isn't completely black in TMU.

Last, but not least, many thanks to Duck for making this wonderful screenshot! Have a look at the full version!
Also, check out his crazy blockmixed snow tech track Are You Mental Mejt!?!

Have fun!

Sriver

P.S.: Check out the track page on United Exchange!

Thanks to all of you who are actually playing this track in TM Sunrise!

Thanks NitroGuy!
Both for the award, and also for organizing the MTC in general!

Thanks driezzziii!
Of course I remember you! Man, those were goold old times on TMS... Unfortunately, it seems almost completely dead nowadays.
Glad to see you finally bought TMUF - although I'm not that active anymore, I'll try to catch you online there some time.

Thanks meNtality!

Thanks RB!
Yeah, it's very unfortunate that TMS doesn't work on newer operation systems... but at least, the tracks can all be played in TMUF.

Thanks Owen!
Wow... it's mid-2017 and people are still actively awarding tracks on Sunrise-TMX!

Thanks rad!
Getting a replay uploaded here was pretty much the last thing I expected... ;p

Hey sriver, I don't know if you remember me, I played a lot on TMS with you a long time ago By accident I came on this TMX page since I downloaded TMUF last week (jup I know, to late again), and I wanted to play some old school TMS maps. And then I saw you uploaded a track, I was very surprised of course. I feared it was a noslide map, but like you said it's a full speed slide map and it's definitely worth an award.
but I can't even come close to your author medal, which is no surprise since you were always better then me
( I have 47.82 atm, but maybe I can improve to 47, but 45 is impossible for me)

I would love to play against you sometime on TMUF if you have time someday, it would be awesome

Greetings, Dries
