Author Comments

This track has a lot of stunts - it's fast, smooth and action packed, with a groovy start and a nice end to go with it.
I've used a fair bit of MT too - a few ingame cameras and a full outro.

Enjoy!

I had the same idea about the start but the problem is you can shortcut it,i won't say how here cause it seem many haven't figured out how to do it,but it's very easy and can make you gain 1.5sec.Send me a PM if you are interested to know how to shortcut the start.

I'm aware of the shortcut. It's really not very obvious though so I figured eh. I thought the start was too cool not to use.

1. There's another possible trick at the start which can gain 1-1.5 seconds. The trick is: press forward and accelerate until you get past the first checkpoint, continue pressing forward while you are climbing up the semi-loop. And hit breaks just before the topmost point of the semi-loop. And then keep on pressing breaks until you land on the acceleration track. If you get the moment right, the car will lightly touch the upper track with the nose, flip, then land on all four wheels and accelerate much faster then if it were backwheeling. Well, yes, there would be no "yeehaw!" scenic part, but the speed is what matters :-)

2. A dramatic shortcut is possible after the third checkpoint. There, after the left turn and passing a road fork, there is a loop. You are supposed to do the loop, follow the elevated track around some high building and then climb and take another loop to get to the upper platform where the fourth checkpoint is. The idea is not to go into the full first loop, but to jump off its left side targeting to land directly on the upper platform. Weeeelllllll, this IS tricky, I can say. I use keyboard control and can manage such shortcut jump approximately 1 time out of 30 attempts... Probably, if I master this shortcut a bit more, I would be able to seize the WR here... We'll see :-) BTW, the replay I've submitted shows this shortcut in action.

The start is great!!! So is the timing and getting-the-speed-right before the jumps.
