BASCO = 'Build A Stage' Competition. (Island)
Rules
Your part should not add more 1000 additional coppers onto the track value.
The BASCO will be run over the next 6 weeks. What happens is 'the track so far' will be uploaded to a special TMX user. Then at the weekend, we invite anyone to download the track, delete the finish line and build 10 seconds additional track, validate, and upload to TMX.
Taking part requires you do the following
1. Download the latest version of 'the track so far' (a link is provided each weekend).
2. Delete the finish piece, but do not delete or change any other part of the track layout.
3. You can modify landscape as necessary, just dont mess up a previous track part.
4. Build your idea for the next stage of the track, adding about 10 seconds to the validation time.
5. The coppers limit per stage is +1000 to the old value....Do not use more than 1000 for your part.
6. Validate and save your track with your name on the end, ie BASCO 02 - Part 2 - YourTMXLogin.
7. Upload the track to TMX using the special account...BASCO (password is BASCO)
8. Post a link to your submission in the submissions thread for that weekend. (A new thread will open each weekend)
9. Only one submission per stage per user
Winners of the Nations BASCO are permitted to enter BASCO 02 on Island if they wish.
Note: Weekend Submissions threads will open by 22:00 each Friday.
Thats all there is to do. After the weekend is over we will lock the submissions thread and during Mon to Fri the TMX Crew will pick which submission will be the next stage of the track. Then on Friday evening we will upload the track again with the stage identifier increaed by 1, ie BASCO 02 - Part 2
The process then begins again, a thread for submissions for Stage 2 will open.
Can you submit an entry if you won a stage already?
No, once you win a stage, you have to sit back and let others compete for the remaining stages.
Here is the schedule, BASCO 02 will be a SIX stage track in the Island environment with the focus of the track being on creating a fun race without to many tricks so that the track will be fun to play online...

Just a question, will we have the ability to put up a pic and some details of our submission?

Theres really no need, the judges will only consider the track part.

Delete the finish piece, but do not delete or change any other part
This does mean not adding land either, am I right?

You can add/modify the landscape as you see fit for your part. The quote refers to existing parts of the track. What should happen is you delete the finish line piece, and no other pieces, - then build your part.
I have modified the rules now to make that clearer.Last edited byMrA

If you find a track flaw (after you upload it to the server), is it okay to upload a fixed version if it's submitted on time?Posts: 480
