We thought it was too, which is why it was on the front page.... but the reality was that not that many people made use of it... maybe becuase they realised that it might have been better called 'unlucky dip'

ie... you put your hand in and pull out a stinker

And so people interested to try lucky dipping can narrow the size of the pot down with the search functions and then try their luck!

Well I'd like to have that in the upper navi bar.
You could just keep clicking on it without visiting main page all the time.

I support the idea of return of Lucky Dip too!
Maybe it wasn't as useful as... say "Best of" boards, but it could help to keep tracks unforgotten: from time to time it appears there and chances are that someone will certainly download it. At present most part of the tracks are only kept on the hard drive of the server, without any use, because hardly anyone will search for some random tracks to download and try...
Thus Lucky Dip can be useful... After all it seems easy to implent this feature again

PS it would be nice to have it back as well as Authours Spotlight

10 links are better. Chances of the appearing of your track are ten times as high in this case

Maybe it would be wiser to organise the poll for or against Lucky Dip? And then put the link to it on the homepage so that everyone who visits the site can state his/her opinion MrA or MrD, what do you think of it?
